The project was first and foremost inspired by the Austrian photographer Willy Puchner. In his book 'Joe and Sally, a long way from home'  he shows beautiful pictures of his two plastic Penguins. Please visit his homepage here or click here to see the pictures of  Harry and Sally directly.
William Wegman who took pictures of his (real) dogs was an inspiration, too.

Only after a started taking pictures of my nodding dogs, I saw the french film 'Amelie'. The travelling gnomes there apparently inspired the startup Gnomads.net   and notably  the photoblog Gnomar.com. Pure quantity is found on ipodlounge.com where 2500 ipod-users took pictures of their fancy toy.

This website was done with a free template from Open Souce Webdesign, link checked with Xenu, the Gallery is from Web Picture Creator.  All was put together with the composer of Mozilla. The php forms for contact us, recommend us and the guestobook come from artmedic (in German), which have specialised in free php scripts without the need for a MySQL database. Thanks to all!
